Only one key
If that key is lost or locked in the car, a spare saves a much bigger job later.
Worn key
The blade is worn and the key has to be wiggled to turn the ignition or the door lock.
Broken shell
The case is cracked or the blade is loose, but the chip and buttons still work.
Key for a second driver
A new driver, a family member or a fleet vehicle that needs another key.
Copy the key while you still have one
Copying a working key is the simplest car key job. We cut the new blade to match your key or the car's key code, then pair the chip or fob with the car so it starts the engine and works the buttons.
If every key is lost, the job becomes a car key replacement, which takes more work. A spare made now avoids that.

Cut and program
We come to your car, cut the new key and pair it with the car.
Test both keys
We test the new key and your original in the doors, the ignition and the buttons.
Before we cut or program a key, we ask for the vehicle registration and photo ID that matches it. For a leased or company vehicle, bring documents that show you are allowed to use it. Car keys come with a 3-month warranty and programming with a 12-month warranty.
